Sherrie Robért VanKoevering, CLTC®

Financial Advisor

Sherrie Robért VanKoevering joined Northwestern Mutual in 2007.

Her love for the career started while she was a student at the University of California Santa Barbara. As a college financial representative participating in the Northwestern Mutual internship program, she began to experience the impact a career in financial planning has on people’s lives.

At the same time, Sherrie won the New Venture Competition through the University of California’s College of Engineering Technology Management program.  Embracing her entrepreneurial spirit, the award allowed her to successfully launch and subsequently sell a medical software company. It was during these formative years she came full circle to understanding the needs of business owners and the medical market.

Coupling both these experiences, she knew her true calling was to help business owners and medical professionals plan for and achieve their financial goals.

A Recognized Leader

Over the years she has built a solid reputation as a leader in developing comprehensive plans for clients achieving company awards on both the local, regional and national level.

  • In the field of peer recognition, she was the first woman to be recognized as the Northwestern Mutual-Chicago Financial Advisor of the Year. The award recognizes an advisor who leads by example as a positive role model, has shown a relentless drive to grow, and gives back through mentoring and coaching their peers.
  • She has qualified for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors National Quality Award in 2012 and 2014.
  • Most recently, she was selected to attend the Northwestern Mutual Business Market Conference, a two-day invitation-only educational opportunity reserved for the most successful advisors.

Sherrie is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Southern California Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics.

To keep abreast of the marketplace and the evolving needs of her clients, she has continued her education through coursework with the American College of Financial Services.
